The Statistics: More than 80,000 Americans are on the national organ transplant waiting list. Every 13 minutes, another name is added to the national transplant waiting list. Sadly, each day an average of 16 men, women and children of all races and ethnic backgrounds will die because of the lack of available organs.

The Need: Nationwide, about half of the families asked to consent for organ donation, refuse because they do not know their loved one's wishes or have misinformation about organ and tissue donation.
